On Saturday we went to the party at Apple Holler that my lazy babies refused to go to on Friday. It started off with Granny McGregor (who happens to be an awesome woman that we go to church with) telling the story of Peter Rabbit and then inviting him in to meet the kids.

Then we went outside and rode the train through the apple orchard in the FREEZING wind.
Then the kids went on a pony ride.

After pony rides we played games and won prizes but we kind of hurried the kids through that part of the event because we were getting really cold.
Later on Saturday: This is Alyssa sporting a jacket she made to leave the Bunny. At the storytime at Apple Holler Granny McGregor made a new coat for Peter Rabbit to replace the one he lost in Mr. McGregor's garden. Alyssa wanted to make one too so she cut up a huge Target bag and drew Easter eggs all over it.
Then we dyed eggs, of course...

All ready for Easter
After the kids went to bed we had a bit of a war about the best way to do Easter. I like to prepare the baskets all full of toys, clothes, and candy and have them out on the table for the kids on Easter morning. They get up and go through their baskets and then move on to the Easter EGG hunt.
I prepared the baskets and then Seth emptied them to hide all the stuff in them with the eggs. I guess he thinks it is called an Easter EVERYTHING hunt. We usually compromise and hide some candy with the eggs but load most of it into the baskets, and we have never hidden the toys before. But, this year (since I am the best wife ever)we did it his way and I don't think the kids noticed the difference.

After Easter fun and breakfast we got ready for church. Luckily we started at 10:00 because we had Stake Conference. We escaped our usual 8:30 start time 2 weeks in a row. YAY for that!

Your Easter was beautiful and the kids look like dolls, but I must address a different issue. Your blog is starting to freak me out. That little blond boy on a pony is me. It's a Twilight Zone experience. It's like the past 52 years never happened and I'm there with you at the apple holler riding a pony. It's weird. However, I do appreciate your creating the little clone, and I love how you and Seth are building your family.

I dont mind your 5 mile long pictures! And your right, you cant help it when they look so cute! I hope Alex and Alyssa shared their goods with Chloe. (I like your way.) Glad you still mader it to Apple Holler. Maybe we will make it there next year, since we have yet to experience the Apple Holler excitement.
Very cute! You know, Jonathon and I had the same "discussion" about how to do Easter. Not like we haven't done it for the past 8 years...I wanted to hide everything, he wanted to make baskets. Maybe it's because the Easter bunny never got us baskets as kids. We had to work for our treats!

Everyone went to Apple Holler- looks like a LOT of fun for the kids (minus the wind). Dont worry, you werent the only one with cold weather. It was SOOO windy and cold here! Well, I LOVE all the easter pictures, HELLO, I love ALL pictures, soo KEEP taking a gazillion and posting them because i LOVE IT! I cant believe Chloe ate the egg with the shell, YUCK! You guys all looked GREAT all dressed up! Love the boys and girls pictures!!!! HAPPY EASTER!
Oh my gosh, that pic of Alex is the best ever! He looks like a little NY city prep school kid. I thought about Seth's way and wonder how the kid knows what is theirs or what not to put in their basket?? Luke liked looking at the picture of you, and the one of Chloe and Alyssa in the grass. He kept asking to see them again!
