She rode to work with Seth and stayed the entire day. Most of the time she was with a group of kids her age and not with Seth. They had food, entertainment, activities...all kinds of stuff to keep the little monsters busy. She did get to spend a few hours with Seth pretending to do real work. She had a blast!
She wanted to wear her HUGE Discover t-shirt that she made to school today. I refused to allow it so she settled for just wearing her name badge.

Here is Alyssa when she got home showing me her shirt and name badge. She also has on a Discover Card backpack that was stuffed full of really funny stuff...a Rudolph movie, a clock, a tape measure with a level and notepad attached to it, a reading light, a cell phone cover, another shirt, a calculator, and more silly nonsense all bearing the Discover card logo. I was laughing but of course all of the enclosed nonsense is being well loved by Alyssa. She took the whole lot of it to school today. Funny, funny girl!

Thats sooo cool she got to do that!!! And even cooler was that she had other friends there! Those are such neat experiences for her- very, very cool. I got a good laugh at your descriptions of Alyssa and Seth in Seth's office. I love how they send the kids home with all that stuff, couldn't they just give the kids all $20 gift cards rather then spend the money on useless crap... Ohhh well, whatever makes the kids happy :) What fun for a day with Dad...lucky girl!

I always wanted to do that, but my Dad's work was always at nuclear facilities so they didn't allow it, or at least that's what my Dad said...hmm. I'm sure she'll remember it forever! So cool.

Okay don't tell my kids about this. The came home from school the other day saying it was take your kids to work day and Kjel didn't fess up at all. I was sure the kids were just full of crap and looking for a day off.
I'm glad she got to have so much fun. I love the picts and I'm guessing she'll never forget the time spent with dad.
So cute I can't wait for that day! But I am not sure that residents will be able to bring their kids to work. Maybe he can when he is in private practice in 3 years! That is cool that all her friends from church were there too.
She looks so stoked to be there! You should have let her wear the Discover shirt to school. She could have tied it off on the side with one of those plastic clips like we used to.
I love how they just got rid of all their extra crap by giving it to our kids! What in the heck do they need a level for?!And whats up with the shirts that are 10 sizes to big? Oh well, at least they think it is cool, and had fun. I wish I could have come along...do I?
