Day Seventeen-Someone you would want to switch lives with for one day and why
I would switch houses, or wardrobes, with plenty of people, but I am happy to report that I absolutely don't want to trade my life, not even for a day. As self critical as I can be at times, I really like being me, and not even for one day would anyone else's money, looks, fame or fortune compare to what I have right here and now with my little family. So unless my family comes with the deal, I don't want to switch.
But wait..... There is one person who is also a parent to my kids everyday, so I will have to say that if I were to switch, I would switch with Seth. I think it would be very interesting to spend a day in his life, especially if it included being able to live inside his mind and body. I would learn what he really thinks of my constant babbling, and how often he is actually listening. I would learn what he goes through each day, and how it feels to be on the other side of this little duo. Yeah, that would be a fun little switch, but just for one day, and preferably a Saturday or Sunday so that I wouldn't have to go to work.
Then again...today work might not have been so bad. I have so much cleaning to do. My house is still in chaos after Spring Break, even though the kids went back to school a week ago. I am determined to get everything back in place today. I packed Chloe a backpack and lunch pail and sent her off to school. Translation: She is watching Leapfrog DVD's and pretending to be at school while I work, work, work. Which reminds me, my break time is up so I must go.

I like the idea of switching places with our hubbies for just one day - with work or without. I think we might all turn into better spouses with that experience!
But I also agree that my life just the way it is right now is all the kind of life I want. I couldn't think of a better one.

:) I have been SO bad about reading blogs...hek, I barely have time to write mine, but it was SOOOOOOOOOO great to catch up! How I have missed seeing how the Johnsons are doing out in Wisconsin! I couldn't agree more. There are so many people that I envy at times whether it's for the life, stuff, looks, personality, what not, but I don't think I'd ever want to completely switch lives/bodies with someone else. I love my little girls and husband more than life itself and couldn't imagine living without them (you've heard about my dream/nightmare about the time I went back to high school and could only think of how I was going to get back to my kids). Honestly though, I don't think I could handle trying to decipher all the mad ideas that must go through Mike's mind in a given day. Plus, he's pretty honest with me and tells me what he really thinks of my babbling just about every time I open my mouth...hehe.
I have to say I love your pretend school idea with Chloe. I am going to try that one of these days.
