Alex says, "her looks like someone I don't even know." She thinks she is so cool though. I remember being so anxious to lose my teeth. I lost my teeth later than all the other kids my age and it was such a big deal when it finally happened. Alyssa is loving the little whistle when she talks and I caught her grinning far more than was necessary at every one who walked past her at church today.
This toothless grin is cracking me up and of course I think she still looks adorable, but instantly so much older.
Now let's just pray that new tooth comes in vertical and not horizontal.
Oh and on another toothy note, Chloe cut 5 teeth in the past week. That makes 9 total. I am stunned! My other two kids had 4 1/2 teeth on their second birthday and she just sprouted a mouth full. Funny enough, two of them really started to grow down overnight and are now pretty visible in her smile. Alyssa was so excited this morning and said, "Mommy, I know what the tooth fairy did with my tooth. She gave it to Chloe." So here they are, the toothful and the toothless.

I love it! I agree, that toothless smile does make her look a lot more grown up. But definitely no less cute! And just think, this year she gets to sing the song! (All I Want for Christmas....)
Madi lost her two bottom teeth at the exact time that Alissa's grew in. Thats what we said happened to theirs as well...who knew the tooth fairy recycles! And yes, she is still cute...both of them!
Beautiful as ALWAYS! Love that smile and who cares if it crooked... that's what braces are for ;) Can't believe chloe broke all those teeth in one month! Love that last picture of the two of them... SO CUTE!

Aww, both your look adorable with their missing/growing in teeth. I'm starting to see that Alyssa and Chloe look a lot alike. Maybe it's the missing teeth...LOL.
Annie is anxious to lose some teeth, too. She seems to be the late bloomer though in her class. Some of her friends from class have already starting growing in adult teeth. Poor, Annie!
Jen, Alyssa was a late bloomer too. In first grade she was so jealous of all her toothless friends but Alyssa and Annie have summer b-days so they are a little younger than some of their class mates, plus they are both tiny little people.
How funny that Al said she looked like someone he doesn't know. That of when Kelly darkened her hair and now I'm cracking up.
How cute that Alyssa said the tooth fairy gave her tooth to Chloe. She does not look awkward at all, still gorgeous!!
Have you given her a straw yet? That is the favorite part for my kids. Drinking without opening your mouth!

What cute girls you have! That Alyssa, ooh boy, you'd better watch out. She SHOULD look awkward, but she's way too beautiful. Even with a missing tooth. Man, I remember what I looked like at that age, Dorothy Hammil with frizzy curls, brown cords in the husky size, gigantic front tooth-just one, mind you. Really cute, right? At least I didn't have to suffer alone-all my sisters looked just like me, except for they wore slim brown cords instead of husky.
Oh, and by the way, we're all buzzing over how much we love your blog. My sisters and I that is. You've got us all hooked and checking your blog before our own emails.
