Alex has to bring a parent on the first day so I left Chloe with my friend Andra (THANK YOU!) and joined Alex at school.
Here is how our morning looked.
The highly anticipated and super ugly rainbow dinosaur shirt. I picked out a rugby shirt but that is so not Alex, although he is wearing it for picture day...that was my controlling little compromise.
Look at that face though, you can pretty much wear anything you want if you have that face.
I have never allowed my kids to have cheesy character backpacks but he was so excited about this backpack, and it was only $7 which means it will probably unravel by Christmas.
Doesn't that pansy bear just scream big man on campus?

It was so much fun to watch Alex meet up with his friends from little bears. Alyssa seems to have been born with the popularity gene but Alex has struggled to make friends. When we came in today several kids came to say hello and tell him how happy they were that he was back. Hooray for having friends!
And seriously, how could you not just LOVE this kid!

I love him with all my heart, how could anyone help it. He looks like Jeff at that age and someone else but I can't pinpoint who . . . .?? Maybe someone else will comment on that. LOVE YOU ALEX. I sent you a weird shirt you will like, Kelly picked it out. It is very funky.

Gotta say I love Alex's pick. It's a great shirt. Glad he has such a wonderful place to be.
I sure can't help but love him!! And I totally love his dinosaur shirt...it screams "Al!" That picture of Alex in the quiet area was funny, I can't see him hanging there too often.
Looks like its time for Chooch to get her own mommy time now.
Oh...I also love Al's new shoes. I want to get those for Luke. He has white ones, but they don't have the velcro.
Dad, get a dino shirt. It might be just what you've been needing.
And Val, I knew that you and only you would not only notice, but comment about the shoes.
As for the dino shirt, I admit it is growing on me because it is very Al and because he gets so excited about it that I can't help but get excited with him.
That looks so fun! I want to go to pre-school. I better not let John see the shirt or he'll want one too!
