In an attempt to stay out of the way, I took the kids to Burger King for dinner. After they had run themselves silly at the play place, I thought they would like to walk next door to Cold Stone. I don't like Cold Stone so they had never been (wow, she's selfish!), but I thought they would have fun creating their own ice cream.
Alex and Alyssa decided to share cotton candy with gummy bears and sprinkles and I got chocolate with oreos to share with Chloe. Chloe did not want to share and she did not want to be fed. She kept smacking my spoon away and reaching for the cotton candy ice cream. She finally reached it and took a big chunk off the top with her hand. We all laughed, which she interpreted as permission to grab the whole bowl. She followed this act of thievery by the stealing Alyssa's spoon, and just to make sure no one was going to ask her to share again, she snatched Alex's spoon as well.
Alex and Alyssa had already determined (correctly) that Cold Stone is yucky so they were happy to let her take over.
So there was Chloe, spoon in each hand, getting her grub on and singing in her head...
I want a party with rooms full of laughter
10 thousand tons of ice cream
And if I don't get the things I am after
I'm going to SCREAM!!!!!!

Same night, next chapter.
As we left Cold Stone Chloe said "Mommy, pretty water" and pointed to the sky. I have tried to convince her that the sky is not made of water but she is sticking to her guns.
I looked at the sky and saw the most amazing sunset. I grabbed the camera and tried to grab a quick picture, but a big tree was right in the way, and I couldn't even change the setting on my camera to "sunset" since I was trying not to drop Chloe. I snapped this crappy shot and then we jumped in the car hoping to drive off and grab a better shot, but it was too late. Even the tree right in front of us that had been glowing pink was now dark. Oh well, we saw it, even if we couldn't capture it.

I love pretty sunsets, I mean pretty water.

Beautiful sunset, beautiful evening.
i just counted backwards and realized what time you posted this. I will be telling my kids to be EXTRA nice to you at church. Poor girl needs some sleep.
I love pretty Chloe!
That girl is after my own heart...ice-cream should all be mine! Not so much cotton candy, yuck, but I cheer for her gusto in stealing the goods!
When you were little we always said you reminded us of the girl in Willie Wonka, who's real name is actually Julie. Like mother like daughter.
I just can't get over the idea that Coldstone is yucky--you are all out of your minds, except Chloe of course! That's funny!
I have to admit I really don't Cold Stone either. I'm not a big fan of ice-cream, but I can't place my finger on why their ice-cream is particularly low on my list of likes.
I love the sunsets here, too. You don't get sunsets like this in the south or on the east coast. Too much haze.
