Well I did not take even one picture this weekend but it was a good one nonetheless.
Our friend Glenn (of Glenn and Heather) stayed with us for a few days and this was the first time we've seen him since they moved in December.
I found myself wishing many times that Heather was with him. We all know I am lousy at keeping in touch but I REALLY miss you Heather!
It was fun to visit again, although to be honest I did not see Glenn too much since him and Seth squeezed 3 rounds of golf into two days. I can't really blame them, the weather was perfection and it's been awhile.
We also watched the USC game, which I was really nervous about because the last time we invited Glenn over for an SC game they lost the championship game to freakin' Texas. Like all sports fans I am totally superstitious so I had vowed never to watch with Glenn again and I was blaming myself for the loss that I could see unfolding until Glenn dozed off just long enough to remove the hex and we came from behind and WON!!! Phew, close call!
I did manage to sneak Seth away for a couple hours to go play at the farmer's market Saturday morning. Then, when golf resumed, I took the kids Halloween shopping at the outlet mall. Remember how I spent $60 on Chloe's Halloween costume last year? This year I spent $14. Everyone say Yay Julie! Is it as cute as the $60 monkey? Well, no but nothing really is.
Since the weather was perfect while we shopped we had no choice but to sit in the sun eating Shave Ice (lime, of course). Yum! Makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Now I just wish I could find a Slush Puppie around here. Oh well, I do have some super yummy apple (with our orchard apples) and rhubarb (farmer's market) cobbler upstairs singing to me. I've already had two pieces, but you really can't ignore singing cobbler so I'm off.

Did you decide to go with Target for Al and Alyssa's costumes? The Hot Dog Shop in Temecula has those slush puppies that I think you are talking about. The ones that are like slurpees?
Sarah, I can't say what they are going to be. That would take all the fun out of the Halloween post.
Valerie, I did get Alex and Alyssa's costumes at Target.com. Thanks for the tip, they were $25 less than at costume express. And yes, those are the slush puppies I am talking about but they are more icy than slurpies.
