The bus driver got lost so we were on the bus longer than we were at the zoo, but I think that is Alex's favorite part of field trips so we didn't mind.
The only thing Alex was really interested in seeing at the zoo was the gift shop. Our zoo is pretty lame. They have about 7 animals total. It used to be free and then it was great but if I am paying I want at least a dozen animals to look at.
The lion cub was playing ball though and that was cute for the 2 seconds that we watched before Alex lost interest.
It was nice to get out and hang out with Alex though. I always feel bad because he has always had to compete for attention. I am sure he will end up in therapy with middle child syndrome or some other made up nonsense. Then I can show him pictures of today to prove that sometimes it was all about Alex.

He is so rad! I love the face he is making in front of the lion exhibit. Remember when we all went to the LA Zoo? That was the best five bucks I ever spent. It all just depends on how frisky the animals are that day.

Everyone was at the zoo today. Cara too! Alex is getting so big. I remember when your family moved here. He was the cutest, little (BIG) baby around. Now he's in school... Crazy!
Looks like you posted pictures of all the animals in the zoo! Im sure he will turn out just fine...you do lots of fun stuff with your kids!

don't worry about therapy, just starting putting away pennies for it. in the end everyone needs a few good sessions.
That zoo trip Valerie refers to was rad, the Koala bears entertained us for an hour. Alex looks like Grandpa Bill in all these pictures. I am looking forward to some alone time with just Alex and Grandma July 5-8 at the Utah pad.

I am glad he had a day all about him... looks like he had a blast... especially being able to visit the gift store!!! LUCKY! my kids would be jealous!
