Wednesday, the 25th was our last full day in Salt Lake so we decided on a day trip to Park City with Seth's dad and his sister, Liz.
We took the scenic route over the mountain and it scared me to death, especially when we reached the top and found out that the road down was not paved, but dirt. It was a beautiful drive though. We stopped up top for a photo op.
We decided to ride the Alpine Slides because they are an old favorite, but we decided to try the new Alpine Coaster as well. It is on a track so you can floor it the whole time and fly down the mountain and the tracks have spins and drops. It is a blast. We enjoyed the slides as well, but if I had to choose I would take the coaster.
Before we got on the rides the kids spotted these bike racks and thought it would be fun to mount them until they realized that the bike seats were just a slice of metal that was not too comfy to sit on.

The view from the lift. I have a friend in WI who had always heard about the mountains in UT and said that when she finally saw them she thought they were brown and ugly. I will have to agree to disagree. I think they are beautiful!
The kids had to ride alone on the slide and they were not heavy enough to fly too fast even though they were holding the bar all the way down so Grandpa got stuck behind Alex.
Unfortunately two strangers got backed up behind Alyssa. She was so frustrated and embarrassed. It put her in a rotten mood.
Maybe it was mean, but I couldn't resist taking a picture of her sour face.
Don't let that face fool you though, we had a great time in Park City!
We headed back to SL in the afternoon so that Seth and Bob and Jeff could golf. While they golfed I went to my sister's house and hung out for the night. Didn't manage to get a picture but don't worry, I got lots of pics of her in CA. I am now caught up on the Salt Lake portion of our trip but there is still so much more to come.

Beautiful pictures at the top of the mountain! I bet it was scary on the way down, but those pictures make it worth it. Park City looks like so much fun. I'd love to do that with my group one day. Alyssa and Kaden remind me of each other (I know it's just through "Blogland," but still. They seem so similar.)
Love that pic of the dam in the mtns. Coaster is now on our to do list.

Brown and ugly??? what??? I agree with you. They are beautiful.
I have never been on the alpine slide - will have to try it one of these days.
