I did get a few in the morning though.
This picture is something I saw every morning. Kelly cooking breakfast for the kids and Kristen hanging out with them while me and Valerie sat on the couch and chatted. Being the first ones to have kids is awesome!
After breakfast we painted and glittered the many sea shells we had been collecting all week.
Then we were off to the bay. Valerie's oldest friend and our childhood neighbor, Melissa was in town so she contacted Val on Facebook and swung by for a couple hours, and then we went back over to Grandma King's house for lunch. We framed up the pictures from earlier in the week and she hated them, as we knew she would, but she was happy that the kids were in them with her. I was happy to see that GK looked much happier and healthier than the last time I was in town. It always makes me so sad to say goodbye to GK but I am grateful that she has such a good caretaker now and for Valerie who gets over there to cheer her up and bring her treats as often as she can.
While all of this was going on, the boys were spending the day at the Dodger's game. My mom's company has seats 3 rows behind home plate and Seth had never had the chance to use them. They feed you a giant buffet before the game and will bring you anything you want during the game, all included with the seats, and there are usually celebrities sitting nearby as well. They enjoyed their day out (no pictures of course) and when we got back Seth offered to watch all the kids so that the girls could go out. My mom wasn't feeling up to it so just the sisters went out. We rode our bikes across the ferry, ate dinner in a nice restaurant overlooking the harbor and then took a long bike ride along the coast line, and then down to Dad's for treats when we got back to the island. It was the best!
When we returned home we found all the kids asleep and when I asked Seth if Audrey went to sleep for him he told me that he sang her songs to get her to sleep. How cute! So thanks to Seth for a great night. I get so sad being away from my sisters and having a kid free sisters night was bliss.

I almost missed this post. Only saw the one after this. Looks like a fun little project. I really need to be better about doing stuff like this with my kids. Obviously, Annie craves the arts. It's just so hard with Violet right there un-doing everything we've worked so hard on. Would it be inhumane to put her in a kennel while we do craft time?
