Wisconsin Winter?

Temps in the mid-70's in March? Seriously?

I am perplexed but it didn't stop me, and the rest of the state of Wisconsin from getting outdoors and enjoying it. The parks were packed, people were laying out by the lake reading, bikes filled the streets and I could smell barbecue all through the neighborhood.

That is one thing I love about living somewhere cold. When it gets warm nobody stays inside. We don't know when the next good day is coming so we make the most of it.

It was still really windy, but you can't have it all, right?

I finally had the chance to take the camera outside, too. I wanted to keep working on my action shots and 3 hours at the park gave me plenty of time to try but I couldn't quite get my shutter speed right today. I will get it, eventually?

But perfect shot or not, we are outside in MARCH and that looks pretty good through any lens.

We went to the Recplex and they have three parks there. Two of them were jam packed so we played there awhile and then headed over to the one by the baseball fields. There is never anyone at that one which turned out to be a good thing because Chloe had to pee really bad so I held her in a sitting position so she could go and it was so windy that it sprayed everywhere like a sprinkler. Kind of gross but also pretty hilarious!

I thought Chloe looked so cute here so I was bummed to see that I got some blur.

I adjusted my camera and took like 50 more but never caught the perfect face again.

It looks like it will be almost 60 degrees tomorrow and we will be out again unless the forecast is accurate and it rains? Even with rain though, I am happy with 60 degrees. No complaints here!

This weather has been amazing. We're just loving every second of it. I will say the mosquito's (who has those in March? US!) are a little frustrating. I'm a little nervous about this summer and their attacks. BUT, I'll take this sun and warmth and hang on tight.
I'm also loving that the entire neighborhood smells of BBQ.

This weather is great! It is such a nice treat to be able to enjoy the outdoor so much this early in the year. I just hope it doesn't decide to be all wintery later in the spring (like May) when I really won't want it! Fingers crossed!

LeShel, I haven't seen any mosquitoes yet??? Ick! I have heard they could be bad this year so Girls Camp should be fun. Oh well, I have BEGGED for warm weather for 7 years so I will have to take the bad with the good, I guess.

I know, right? This weather is totally not what I expecting for my first winter in SD. It certainly has spoiled me, and it will be shocking next year if the weather is more normal (i.e., subzero, windy, and downright wicked) and put me into a depression. Good to see you taking advantage of the warmth. The girls have been spending outside a lot, too.

Speaking of bugs, Violet and I went outside today, and I noticed a gazillion flies zooming around along the ground. I guess they aren't quite ready to take real flight and infest our house like last summer. Ish, can't wait!

All your shots look great! I keep telling Josh that if every winter in Michigan was like this I wouldn't mind living here forever. I just looked at the 10 day forecast though, and going from 70's to 40's is not going to be fun!

Can't believe how warm your weather is either! Got to love it though! I remember when we left Wisconsin in may it was barely getting into the sixties! Glad to see your family doing so well!
