But even though Sunday was cold and stormy, Monday Spring finally arrived and it even brought Summer with it. It was HOT and HUMID after all the rain. But even though we knew it would be uncomfortable and probably mega crowded for Memorial Day we were going to use those dang passes. We had waited long enough!
It was 85 degrees at our house but since Six Flags is a few miles further away from the lake it was 95. Since I have lived here I have never seen it hit 100, ever, so for us 95 is about as HOT as it gets. But even through the sweating and the sunburn I was so happy to hang up the coats and put on short sleeves. After the longest Winter ever I am still taking a deep breath and bracing myself for the cold every time I open the door, only to be pleasantly rewarded with warmth. I hope Spring is finally making it's way to the rest of you as well. I hear it was tardy all over the nation.
Anyhow, I mostly only took pictures of the baby rides that the kids could ride alone. If I was riding, I didn't take the camera out. Doesn't matter though, because we will be back over and over and over again. In fact, it is 70 degrees today and I am tempted to go get the kids from school and head over there right this minute or maybe just head over after school since they get out at 1:00 on Wednesdays. I am so excited for our Six Flags Summer.
Don't we look official? Seth got one too, but his is in his wallet so you can't look at it right now.
Chloe got dragged on ride after ride and really only enjoyed one of them. This was not that one.
Note to self: Do not let anyone take my picture from this angle again. I look like Jay Leno with an afro.

That is so exciting! What a fun summer. I can't believe you winter was so long. I guess I am getting spoiled out here in Henderson. We have a lot of fun things to do around here, but I really miss a big theme park. We are saving for a Disney trip this year (maybe in October, and I am already SOOOO excited!

I'm so jealous that that's what you'll be doing all summer, and I'll be...well, I don't know what I'll be doing. Looks like a great time. Did you end up going today, too. Any chance you can sneak in a mom and 3 kids? Just once?
Well, I can see Lagoon doesn't begin to compare! What a fun day, and you look like it's actually warm there! We're still in jackets some of the time, and rarely in short sleeves right now.
Fun! I see what you mean about Alyssa and Chloe but the other day in Primary I was looking at Chloe and thinking I could actually see a little Alyssa in her.. I think it's their jawline/chin or something.
I haven't ever been to Six Flags. Doug went once with his brother when they were visiting but I am hoping to take Abi there this summer at least once.
