Holy Nail Biter!
5 months of growing my nails long all to bite them down to the nub in one football game.
And look at what Seth was wearing...

Yay! I am not a football fan in the least but I was really excited this year. I actually bought some party food and planned a night of it but then realized I couldn't watch it because of the channel and it was pay only online. So, I kept updated online all night and then watched all the commercials once they were available pretending like I had been able to watch the game.
I was so glad they won!
That sweater is hilarious. I think he should have wore that to church or work or something.
I am totally not into football, but I was secretly cheering for them knowing you guys were. Great game for the team and the fans! (Love the sweater LOL - Ann, where did you find that one?)
Dad, Thanks for wearing our colors! Don't worry, I still wear my USC colors all the time. Now we just need to get them back in the game. I hardly even watched college football this year. I try to watch the Badgers, but it is not the same. The NFL was so much fun this year though. The whole late season run to the playoffs and postseason...it has all been a blast! I was so nervous in these past few games when we came out to an early lead and then had to hold on by the skin of our teeth in the second half. Luckily my fingernails were the only casualty. AND I have finally learned what you have been telling me for years...DEFENSE is so fun to watch. I have always been more excited when we have the ball, but this year I knew that our defense would take care of us when we didn't. I was sad to see so many of them go down with injuries yesterday, and really sad to see Donald Driver go out too. He is our favorite, well, one of our many favorites. Alright, that was a long comment but I know no one else in here wants to break down the game with me.
Cheryl, I really wanted to have a Superbowl party and invite people yesterday but 1-I get really rowdy! and 2- I was at the Great to be 8 Fireside and had to tivo it. We skipped commercials and the halftime show so we almost caught up to real time, but not quite. I also had a terrible cold so I couldn't even eat any fun snacks, but we won so I came away very happy in the end. Although, now I really want to have that Superbowl party. I had so many fun green and yellow food ideas. Oh well!
Oh, no! Your beautiful nails are all gone. I've been plotting for months how I was going to steal your nails when I got the chance, but now you've gone and ruined my plan.
Surprisingly, we did watch the last 1/3+ of the game (we waited until the girls went to bed) and were pleased to have our "home" team win. It was an exciting game toward the end when the Steelers all of a sudden started scoring. The Packers stayed strong though and certainly deserved the championship.
P.S. I'm so glad that that scumbag Brett Favre wasn't on the team anymore either. Too bad he had to go and taint the Vikings since that's Mike's official home team.
The NFL season definitely sucked for us all year, but we were glad to see your team win. I LOVE that football sweater, so rad!
Jen, I am not gonna lie. We loved Brett Favre. We were sad to see him leave GB and even more sad when he emerged as the clown of the league over these past couple of years. We also love Aaron Rodgers. We have rooted for him ever since the day GB drafted him, before we even lived in WI. We were happy to see Alex Smith go first since he played in Utah (we named Alex after him, sort of, not really, but he was popular and it put the name on our radar). After he was drafted we were so sad watching Rodgers sit with cameras in his face as team after team passed on him until GB grabbed him at #24. We decided then and there that we loved him and hoped he would be great. I am so glad he is getting his moment now, although we do wish Alex Smith hadn't been such a bust. Oh well, I know you didn't care about one word of that. But I am very proud of all of you ladies for watching the game. I can't believe you didn't get hooked!
Val, It was a rough one in SD for sure. Maybe next year, and if the Chargers make it I promise to send you that sweater for game day.
