Anyhow, that was a tangent...the point is...we were just going to bake cookies. But then I thought if we were baking we should have chef hats and they were so cheap and easy to make that I couldn't resist. Then I thought about aprons. I always see cute kids aprons at Hobby Lobby and today gave me the perfect excuse to grab a few. So our theme free day gained a theme. I couldn't help it!
Also, I was only going to post a few pictures but these kids are too cute so you get a whole photo album's worth.

Gabe and John were never apart today. I suspect they will miss each other.
Of course I saved an extra hat and apron so Alyssa could play when she got home from school.
Both of my kids made Night at the Museum aprons so I guess we should go see the sequel.
If anyone gave up on this ultra long post...they LOSE because here is the cutest picture of the whole day.
I will really miss these kiddos. I am not a kid person so that is a big deal. At first play group felt a little like work and now it is just laid back, good times. I caught myself spontaneously smiling so many times just watching and listening to them today. I really love these cute kids!

Kids are the best kind of people around. They are hilarious! That picture of Chloe is legendary, I swear she always delivers. What did Al draw on his apron?
Val, Alex drew the night (the big blue blob)and the T-rex from night at the museum. Then Alyssa copied when she got home...that's a first.

If that is a laid back play group, I would love to see how it used to be! You are a brave woman to have paint and cookie dough all in the same day with 3 & 4 year olds! You always amaze me.
Hopefully Jared has not seem the peanut butter picture or you'll be in big trouble. Pictures like this almost make me sad that my kids are all grown up. Almost!!!
I love all of your play group ideas!! You are so talented....and brave. Looking at these pictures today made me tear up. They really are the cutest kids in the world and I am going to miss them so much. I don't know what Gabe is going to do without his little friends!

You guys are amazing! What great ideas! I lost the drive to do play group after Taylor, and Mckenzie started going to school. I'm so glad that Kenzie loves to do fun little activities with Jackson. Looks like everyone is having so much fun. Too Cute!
Look at how much fun those kids had. I wish I had those kind of experiences from my childhood. The girls and I will be around all summer if you want to have a playgroup once in while. Of course, I'm no good with coming up with such clever themes.
