My sister Kristen told me to quit blogging about my overeating/under exercising problem. I like to please my readers so I haven't mentioned it again. Unfortunately when I ceased talking about it I shelved the whole idea.
As of yesterday it is officially bathing suit season. I guess I will have to wait to reveal my perfect bathing suit body next summer. That happens every year. Since I was feeling angry at myself I decided to hop on the treadmill while Chloe was napping yesterday.
I was cruising along and thinking how good it feels to exercise and that I really need to make time for it in my life when the treadmill belt starting slowing down and making a noise. I thought it was Alex putting his foot up on the back of it...he likes to do that. I turned around and Alex was across the room. He looked somewhat guilty but he was nowhere near the treadmill.
I turned back around to hit stop on the treadmill but as I reached forward to do so, the cover over the engine popped up in the air, cracked in the middle and a bright pink ball flew up in my face. Alex had kicked the ball up the back of the treadmill. After making its way up the belt it got stuck in the engine and had no choice but to break the treadmill to free itself.
Once the ball was out, the treadmill started moving again but I am not sure all the parts are still completely intact. So I did what I always do...I quit! Do you think maybe this whole exercise thing is just not meant to be? I don't know, but that is my new excuse.
P.S. If you need me I am taking my kids and my highly imperfect body to the pool.

Ahh...treadmills. I hate working out on those things!
that's the best treadmill story I've ever heard. I'm glad you went to the pool!!
That ball flying toward you is from all the women who actually have to exercise to look thin. We are there with you throwing our frustrations at you in the form of a pink ball....;)
Oh well, perfect bathing suit bodies are highly over rated.
I hope when you were at the pool you saw all those other mom's wearing swim suits that show off way too much of their momminess and thought to yourself "wow, I look pretty dang good for having three kids!"
That's too funny. If that's enough to convince you to forget about working out, then I don't know what it;)
Too funny! I am glad that you weren't injured. Maybe exercise is just too dangerous!
You do look great though and I like KoreyLCorey's comment!
