I have a personal chef...or two

So, a couple of days ago at about 5PM I had just layed down on the couch to rest for a minute. I was so excited because Seth was working from home and he was done for the day so he took Alex downstairs. Chloe was asleep and I was exhausted after sleeping 3 hours the previous night thanks to a baby who shall remain nameless. But, when you have 3 kids one of them always needs you...so sure enough as soon as my eyes were closed Alyssa started asking for, and soon demanding dinner. I am not sure why since the child doesn't eat. I told her I was resting for a minute and she sulked away. A few minutes later when she didn't return to remind me that she was starving I knew something was wrong. I went into the kitchen where she quickly ran to greet me and tell me to finish resting. She was making dinner for everyone. We all had peanut butter and some of us got jelly, others got honey and luckily only Alyssa got mayo with hers. She even cut off the crust and gave us each a bag of chips as well. I felt very loved and appreciated. In reality she was probably just being impatient but I am going to stick with the loved and appreciated thing...

So, flash forward two days. I was on the phone with my friend who moved away. (Hi Margie)We haven't talked for a few months so I was choosing to ignore the kids who were playing quietly in the kitchen. I could see that they were taking lots of stuff out of the cupboard but they were getting along and letting me talk. When I got off the phone I found that they had made me a lovely dessert and I will post the recipe because it is truly too good to keep to ourselves.

2 cups water

1 cup chocolate syrup

1/2 bag marshmallows

one sliced apple (don't worry I had sliced the apple earlier for snack)

one lime

4 sandwich spear pickles

1/2 block cream cheese

1 stick of butter

4 bottles of candy sprinkles

1 preoccupied mom

Combine all ingredients in a large pot and spill at least 3 million sprinkles on the floor

ohhh Julie... I FEEL HORRIBLE! I totally kept going on and on and look what I helped contribute too! I'm so sorry! As I started the post, I was looking forward to another good recipe from you and then I read the actual "recipe." Well, it looks like they had fun...at your expense. SORRY Julie! But I did have a great time talking to you! Thanks for all the advice :)
